Since a lot of wonderful blogs are recapping this show, I will be doing either screen recaps of important scenes or better yet, state my thoughts on each episodes from now on. Episode 8 Screencap:
So Gun didn’t end up kissing Mi Young. Such a shame 😦
After baby and me class, Gun and Mi Young have lunch. Well mostly Mi Young who is having some cravings for skate fish. They talk about naming their baby…well giving the baby a nickname. cute 🙂
Gun takes Mi Young to work. I will be happy too. hehe
Guess who is baccckkk? Se ra. She runs to hug Gun who is shocked and confused about her arrival. Mi Young retreats as she claims that she is Grannie’s secretary.
Gun tells Se ra that Mi Young is his wife and the mother of his child. Say whattttt? Se ra reels in the shock and betrayal.
Grannie brings Mi Young to an event for show-and-tell. She tells everyone that she is the new daughter-in-law. Mi Young looks flawless and stunning.
Argh, porcupine face ex-lawyer shows up and is the third person to ruin Mi Young’s night after Se ra’s friend and other gossipers insult her. Mi Young puts on a brave face and tries to walk out of the event without breaking down in front of the classless snobs. Proud of you girl.
Hero of the day. Gun. He tells everyone that she is his ONE AND ONLY. A beautiful, caring and wonderful woman who is his wife. So deal with it. They walk out like bosses like they are.
They have their own party. Truly a Cinderella moment with her prince.
Such a beautiful sight to behold as they dance. Ah so much chemistry.
I cannot begin to say how wonderful this episode was. Gun killed this episode with his thoughtfulness and his insight. If you were in doubt that Gun is still fighting with his feelings about Mi Young, well you are in the wrong. With Se ra showing up, I was afraid that the rest of the episode will be full of awkwardness and bring out jerky Gun. But that was not the case. Gun proved to us and to Mi Young that he has really fallen for her. First of all, Se ra showing up suddenly did make me confused, I was thinking okay, so what is the next step, especially when Gun yells at Mi Young by elevator to ask her why she thwarted his chance to tell Se ra about their situation. From his eyes, he was searching for answers from Mi Young as he wanted to do what was right, which was tell Se ra the truth without any misunderstanding. I do get that Mi Young didn’t want to again inconvenience Gun, but girl, you gotta start thinking for yourself first, especially now that you have a baby on the way.
I am glad that the truth came out. And I feel so bad for Se ra. She doesn’t deserve that kind of hurt, but girl, if a guy is wanting to settle down with you and you put him on hold more than once, I think, it is fair to say that he should move on with someone who is ready. Especially with the fact that his proposal does have a direct correlation with his business.
Gun being there for Mi Young at the end shows that he will go through extremes just to please his woman. 🙂 Gun is a romantic and I do fear that Mi Young will be the one to push him away as he tries to get closer to her because she doesn’t want to fall for him, a person who sees her as a strong woman who needs to be heard and seen and not always protected by others. Don’t get me wrong, Mi Young needs to be protected, but she needs that constant remainder that she needs to stand up for herself and she did just that with the douche ex-lawyer. Daniel wants to constantly protect her from others who threaten her comfort, but Gun is the constant remainder that she needs to look out for herself before he can come in to save her.
We are already half way with this show, so I know that Se ra will become the second lead female that we all will dread. What I do like about the show is that as the show going into the angst mode, there is still comedy to soothe the tension. The show has the right balance as it doesn’t take it self too serious or too slapstick.
